Visor Extensions

The power visors in our coach did not cover the entire width of the windshield. So I attached 4-foot-wide-by-13-inch-high pieces of landscaper's material to the visors to span the distance. On each piece of material, my wife sewed 1-inch pockets at the top and bottom, providing a total of 11 additional inches of visor coverage. In each of the pockets, I inserted 4-foot-by-3/8-inch wood dowels for stability, and I attached the extension to the existing visor with "S" hooks. I covered each "S" hook with shrink-wrap material to protect the visor. I also used invisible thread to sew a piece of the landscape material onto the existing driver's side shade to block brighter sunlight.

Electric Cable Marker

If you park at the same place frequently and utilize your electric cable reel for shore power, put a band of white tape on the electric cable indicating the appropriate length needed to plug in. That way you won't have to guess how much cable to feed out for that particular spot.

Touch-Up Paint

Almost everyone will need, from time to time, a good paint to repair a small spot on their coach or automobile. Usually a touch-up is good for only very small chips or spots. For small paint repairs, auto-body shops can be expensive.

It used to be that when we arrived at a campground, I would have to look in all the drawers and closets for my knickknacks, artificial fruit bowl, flowers, pictures, etc. To make finding these items more convenient, I purchased a shallow, clear-plastic container with a lid that fits under my couch or in one of the basement storage bays. Now, upon arrival all of my things are in one place, so all I have to do is remove the bubble wrap and covers and put the pieces in their place.

I use round sponges cut to size and placed in the holes where the water, sewer, and electric hookups enter and exit the coach. This will keep dust, grime, and insects out of your coach.
