What is the Sign In?

Many articles on are available only to FMCA members and FMC magazine subscribers who Sign In to the site with a username and password. If you are not a member or subscriber, please visit our Join FMCA section for additional membership information.

How do I create a new Sign In account?

Click the Create new account link near the top right of any page. This process will prompt you to choose a unique username and password, which you will use every time that you sign in to the site. When creating a new account, you will need your:

  • membership number or subscriber number (found on the cover of your print magazine)
  • membership expiration date
  • your postal zip code

Note: Your username will also be the "display name" that you see when you are signed in.

How do I Sign In?

To view members/subscribers-only content, sign in by entering your username and your password in the boxes on the right side of Web pages. Before signing in for the first time, you must create a new online account.

No. Just use the same username and password that you use for your Sign In account. The Sign In and the Sign In draw from the same database.

I signed in on the site. Do I need to sign in again on

Yes, if you would like to view magazine content that requires sign in. Use the same username and password that you used to sign in on the site. The reason you have to sign in on both sites is because the cookie -- the message sent to your Internet browser by our Web servier -- does not follow from one site to the other.

What if I forget my password OR username?

If you have forgotten your password or username, you can reset it through the site by following these steps:

1. On the home page, click on the "Forgot Password?" or “Forgot username?” links.
2. Enter your e-mail address on the resulting form and press the Submit button. (Note: This will work only if FMCA has your e-mail address on file.
3. Watch your inbox for the e-mail that our site sends to you. The e-mail will contain your password or username.

The above process assumes that your current e-mail address is the same one that you recorded with when you created your account. If your e-mail address has changed, you will need to call our Membership Services department at (800) 543-3622 to make this change in our records.

I'm having trouble Signing In. What should I do?

When signing in, make sure to spell your username and password exactly the same as when you registered. If you forgot your username or password, see the FAQ above. If you forgot your username AND password, contact For all other Sign In problems, e-mail

Should I Sign Out?

If you are sharing a computer or accessing from a public computer, you should always sign out after you complete your session. Simply click SIGN OUT near the top right of an page.

How do I change my Sign In account information?

Once signed in, click “Update my account information” under the SIGN OUT button near the top right of the page. You can change your e-mail address and your password, but not your username. Scroll down to update your membership information – name, address, phone number, coach type.

Does FMCA share my personal information with outside parties?

No. FMCA will not sell or release your private membership information to any outside company or organization. Members are occasionally sent mail that pertains to FMCA-approved benefits or programs. Please read our Privacy Policy/Terms of Use for more information.

Can I subscribe to content updates?

Yes. To view content as soon as we post it, subscribe to's RSS feed. The new content appears as unread messages in your news reader the moment it appears on RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication.

Can I purchase back issues of the print magazine?

To order back issues of Family Motor Coaching magazine, call (800) 543-3622 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time. Or, send an e-mail to Back issues are in limited supply, and only issues from the recent past are available.

Can you send me a photocopy of an older article that is not available online?

To request a photocopy of an article, send a self-addressed, business-size or larger envelope (if requesting several articles) with postage to: FMC Article Request, FMCA National Office, 8291 Clough Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45244. To determine approximate postage, figure at least one first-class postage stamp for a single article and another first-class stamp for each additional article.
